Bits and Bobs from England

We had a busy week. In addition to swimming, playgroup and mini dribblers, X and I had a play date at a soft play and another playdate here at the house. It was very fun, but we were tired.

Friday night, we all had dinner with new friends P and D family. P is from France, but has been living here around 12 years. They have 4 little ones from 8 to 4 months. We had the best most relaxing night. The kids didn't want to go home. I can't wait to have them over here.

Saturday, we hung around the house, played football and rode bikes. Then our sitter came and V and I had a date. We saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie. I would give it a b-. It was nice to get out.

Sunday, more biking, football and laying around.

X is now officially sick with a bad cold. And V thinks he has it. We have been nothing but sick for 20 months!

Sherwood Forest

We spent a Sunday recently visiting a mad-house strip mall-(Decathlon) and then headed to Sherwood forest to see the biggest oak tree in England (I bet you are so jealous of this outing;)

You wouldn't believe the number of people in this place.
This country is overcrowded (Must be all the foreigners:)

X Man

We build 5-7 evil alien robot towers and then "Super X" knocks them down.
Proof I am training him to be a good husband in 25 plus years!

What a cute dude, ready to swim!
The Mates at school pick up
He must be growing, he goes from injury to injury.
He was literally so tired, he came in and laid down in the entry way.

The Girls in London

I took S from school for a day and we took the train to London. We spent time at Victoria and Albert Museum, which she loved. She had me read every statue's plaque. Then we had lunch at Royal Albert Hall. The big event of the day was seeing Cirque Du Soleil- Varekai. It was so great and she really sat on the edge of her seat. Her favorite part was the comedy. I was so worried after I booked the tickets that she would be too young, but it was wonderful. Finally, we window shopped at Build a Bear, Disney and the market in Covent Garden. We ate crepes for dinner and took the train home.

We even had time to read almost two AGD books. I could spend every day just hanging out with S. She is such a lovely child and I love her so much. Thanks V and X for supporting our "girls" day. Love you too!

The Latest in England

Well, we are back in the saddle. V is busy at work and the kids with school. I am trying to plan our next visit, clean, organize and so on. We have had poor weather for here, cold and snowy. It is tough because people, their cars and their homes aren't prepared.

We spent a great time with the H family having lunch and then dinner too (for the kids.) It was so nice to catch up. We struck out bringing them Peppermint Bark, but I think the glad bags and press and seal were a hit. It is the little things.

Things You Won't See in England

SUV anyone?

Notice who the guns are for?
Using the running truck to heat the hot dog stand, at $8-$9 a gallon, you wouldn't do that.

I still got it....Oh! Where's a good Chiropractor...

....when you need one?

What's the problem mom? This is easy!

On the 12 day of Christmas...

...my true love said to me...let's see everyone!

We had a fantastic visit. The pictures will tell it best. However, the missing bits are the VG family, DB, AMK family and my Uncle and Aunt and shortened visits with the D&T H family and B&D, and many others. Strep Throat robbed us of several days of our time at home. So, we are so sorry for those we missed.
Also a special thanks to my parents, M family and K family for hosting us. It was great to crash with you all.
