Bowling

We had a great time two weekends ago bowling. In my defense, the kids had bumpers and a ramp:)

Life as We Know it has Ended

X realized he can climb out of his crib. Although taking away his Daphne book, Wild teddy bear and hat are effective, he has also discovered a loophole. “I need to potty.” He has also decided he doesn’t need a nap, wakes a 6 am and he doesn’t fall asleep until 9-11 pm. He is so overtired, he can’t sleep.

So to recap, he has decided to be potty trained, started preschool, climbs out of his crib and quit napping, all in two weeks. Oh, do I need some STA moms right now. “I hear, H telling me don’t give up, in two weeks or so he may start napping again.”

No Better Time

Just a quick note. The current exchange rate for the pound is $1.40 to buy 1 pound. When we came to England, it cost $2 to buy 1 pound. In other words, it is great time to come and get value for your dollar. We mean it when we say come visit.

I am a Big Boy.

"Look Ma, no diaper!” Well after coming back things fell into place and no more daytime diapers.

Sob…both my babies are in school now

X started preschool today. He was such a big boy. “See you in a bit mom.” He only cried a little in the middle they said, when he lost his buddy. I must need another one:)

He is there for 1 hour 50 minutes and timing it with picking up S gives me 80 whole minutes to myself! What will I ever do with myself? Ok, so the first day I bought groceries.

Never to Old

As an adult, I always wished I had taken ballet when I was child, even if it had just been to be a better gymnast. (I should have listen to my mother.) It is so beautiful to watch. So, recently I got a mailing for a ballet fusion class. Using the basics of ballet as an exercise class. It is really fun and I get to fulfill a bit of a dream. No Pictures will be added to this entry:)

Back in the Saddle Again

Travelling home was uneventful. The kids did well, as usual, X didn’t really sleep on the plane. It was 16 hours from door to door. We took the train from London to Leicester. I think we decided we will drive next time, because of the luggage. The train is easy, but tough with all the bags and two kids.

Sunday, V and the kids slept until 12:30, which was followed by the kids staying up to 2:30 (S) and 3:30 am (X). V had to work on Monday. S had school Tuesday and we overslept. S, X and I didn’t wake before 8:25 when we normally leave for school. We overslept again on Thursday, but made the bell. I literally fed her cheerios in the car. Poor girl. I never and I mean never oversleep. I haven’t set an alarm in years.

I thought I would be so homesick when we got back to England, but it is nice to have a routine again. X and I had our every other Tuesday play date and playgroup on Thursday and I cleaned and unpacked. So, it hasn’t been too bad. I am happy here.

We spent this weekend very low key. S tried a new dance class. S and I shopped and V and X shopped. We went for a walk and played at the park. V got on a role and fixed several things while I cleaned and organized. The kids played really well.

Cheers.
