A Typical Experience Here

V has a rental car for his job. About six times since our arrival he has had to trade in one car for another. Recently this happened again. So, the car was to be delivered to our house on Saturday. It never showed up. So Monday, V called and was on hold forever. Finally, the response came, we dropped the car at your address and put the keys in the mail slot. But we didn’t have a car or keys. They said they would get back to us. (Of course they didn’t.) On a hunch, V searched the web and found another address matching ours in another town but with a different post code. We went to the house and knocked on the door, they gave us the keys and we collected the car. Again we called the rental company, the message says “please hold, we are currently very busy.” Actually they were closed. We have the car, they never followed up to find out what happened. So very odd and yet so typical.
