Sorry for the long delay. We have been so busy and really I haven't felt like blogging. We had a good trip over Easter in York. Although, I have to admit we seem to have
done it for little, old towns, castles and such. That being said, York is truly beautiful. We visited York Minster (Easter Sunday Service), the National Rail Museum, explored the old town and visited Dig (history lesson about the Vikings and a chance for the kids to dig and play archeologist.) We also did plenty of swimming in the hotel pool. We hiked the Yorkshire Moors(I think of the Secret Garden and V thinks American Werewolf in London) it was the ultimate mudfest. We even visited the seaside and Castle Howard. What, we had 3 whole days and it was only a 3 hour drive (5-6 hours total through the moors.)
We met an American, living in and married to a Yorkie for 18 years. She said after all this time, she was still an outsider. When they retired, she hoped to move somewhere else, warm. She was sweet as pie, of course she was a fellow Midwesterner.
Being quiet during the early morning hotel hours.
Now, S wants to be an archeologist.
York Minister, we spent Easter Mass here. So cool.
Cool Bike.
National Rail Museum
Flat K and Flat E came to visit us.
So strange to be able to enjoy a meal, at a restaurant with the kids.
They draw and puzzle and even chat.
It was such a full day he couldn't stay awake for his "pudding." Funny thing was that V thought I had ordered it, and I thought he ordered it, and after 1/2 an hour we were going to complain! Oops.
