Bits and Bobs

Spent Saturday taking care of the business of life. Sunday we took the kids to Drayton Manor, an amusement park that included lots of small children’s rides and Thomas the Train land. We had a fun day, again, a bit too much time in the car. There was also tons of wasps. S seems to be finding her way with rides. I may make an adventurer of her yet, or maybe it will be X and I at Valley Fair!

The kids start school in two weeks, and other than wanting a day to clean and organize, I am not looking forward to it at all.

I have taken the kids to two movies, Bolt and Kung Fu Panda. They have a program on Wednesdays, free movie if the child brings a book report. We also spent a day with friends at Go Kids, Go (Indoor Playground) and another at a craft day at Abby Pumping station (old sewage works museum). S had another birthday party. She had a great time. I even biked her and X to the party and then home with him in the rain. Wow. It was far.

Two near misses. S and X were offering 1 pence pep talks to the neighbors out our front window (lower level). (Yep, pep talks. “Tell me your problems and I will solve them and tell you, you can do it, go, hurrah.) And somehow, X managed to fall out the window onto our rock bed. He came away with only a small cut and bruise on his head. He was on the go again in less then a minute.
Then, during a play date he was pushed down the stairs (they were rough housing). He fell about 5-6 steps, I think head over heels. He didn’t seem hurt but cried and cuddle for 10 minutes~a first, I think. He told daddy and grandma and grandpa and anyone who would listen for days. Thank God for X’s guardian angel. Let’s hope she always so fast.
